A coarse, cross-cut carbide that is used for metal finishing and trimming die stone in the dental lab. The cutting surface of these carbides has a special design that makes them last longer with a more consistent cut throughout the life of the bur. The carbide head is fitted over the stainless steel shank and then soldered together. This makes for much a much stronger instrument because the shank is actually inside the head of the bur. Diameter is 040 (4.0mm). Available in handpiece shank diameter (3/32” / 2.35mm). Made in Germany.
