An extra coarse, cross-cut carbide that is used mainly for bulk trimming of die stone and plaster. The cutting surface of these carbides has a special design that makes them last longer with a more consistent cut throughout the life of the bur. The carbide head is fitted over the stainless steel shank and then soldered together. This makes for much a much stronger instrument because the shank is actually inside the head of the bur. Diameter is 040. Available in handpiece shank. Made in Germany.
